Jeep and Car Rentals - Outer Banks
Beach Jeeps of Corolla is the Outer Banks best place for Jeep and auto rentals. While on the Outer Banks why not treat yourself and your family to one of the best things to do on the Outer Banks! We offer a truly unique experience with one our 4x4 jeep rentals. Our Jeep safari adventure is a self guided tour. You and your cohorts will travel to the north beaches of the Outer Banks. Our route will take you to see the Wild Spanish Ponies, Penny’s Hill Swan Beach, North Swan Beach, and the Canals of Carova Beach.
Your family adventure will start in Corolla where the ponies used to reside and continue north to Swan Beach where you will be treated to some of the most pristine beaches in North Carolina. While in Swan beach you will see Lewark’s Hill, also referred to as Penny’s Hill. Lewark’s Hill is one of the largest active dunes on the east coast. Then it is off to North Swan Beach. It is in North Swan Beach that you will come face to face with the Wash Woods Lifesaving station among other things. The next stop on you tour will be Carova. While cruising in Carova you will see the Wild Spanish Ponies and the sound side canals. If you’re really lucky you may see the horses walking the beach, just as they have for the past 400 years. You may also come across swimming dolphins, deer, & red fox. The sunset tour will bring out the sand crabs and other nocturnal life as the sun sets on a perfect activity for you and your family.
Your self guided tour will be the most fun that you will have on your vacation in a long time. In today’s hustle and bustle world we don’t have the quality time that we used to. I can still remember my first trip to Corolla and seeing these horses as a young teen. I was so inspired that I moved to Corolla and made my life here. This is truly a unique experience and will give you memories to last a life time as it did for me.
If you have a large family and would prefer a guided tour we have just the ticket for you. Visit Bob's Horse Tours (www.bobshorsetours.com). This is our other branch and another great way to see the north beaches. Bob’s tours offer air-conditioned suburbans and a guide to tell you all the history you want. The tours encompass the same areas. My knowledgeably guides will tell you stories of a by gone era, ecology, and pirates of the Outer Banks.
Our beaches are becoming more and more developed and the time for these tours may be limited, as development encroaches the horse’s natural habitat is being destroyed. The Corolla Wild Horses are the last truly wild horses on the east coast. The herd is now down to 60 horses. The wild ponies once spanned the outer banks from Corolla to Morehead city. Morehead still has a small herd on an island called Shackleford Banks. If you would like to help the horses and become involved in saving their habitat please visit the www.corollawildhorses.com. The folks over there are truly committed to the future and safety of these magnificent animals.

I hope that you will chose an adventure with us and have some truly special memories to share with your children.
Sincerely,
Bob White
